I saw this idea as I perused Pinterest and it stuck with me. I love turnovers, but never really found the time to prepare them for myself. So when Aldi’s had a sale for plain crescent roll dough I decided to try it out. It turned out really delicious and my husband loved them (even though he swears he dislikes raspberries).
I would do a few thinks differently next time, though. One being I would use less jam and seal the dough better so there would be less seepage onto the cookie sheet. Secondly, I would add some sprinkle course sugar on the top of the dough before baking. The baked rolls were nice, but a bit of crunchiness along the top would accent the dessert well, in my opinion. With this in mind, enjoy the recipe!
I love making these! Sometimes I add chocolate chips. They’re delicious but they’re a MESS to clean up!
